A collection of works by Dutch painter Maurits Cornelis Escher, generally known for his "trompe l'oeil" paintings. After Escher's death in 1972, Jan Willem Vermeulen, an avid fan and collector of Escher, spent 35 years amassing the J.W. Vermeulen Collection. It was ranked as the most important item in the collection due to its size and content. In the spring of 1986, the Vermeulen collection was transferred to Masaharu Koga, then president of an apparel company. This book is a collection of all works and materials from the Masaharu Koga Escher Collection. Contains approximately 800 items including prints, drawings, objects, and related materials. Due to the number of works and materials that should be included, we decided to publish one illustration per page, so there are four volumes in total, and one of the highlights is the book design, which is housed in a geometrically shaped box.
