Photographer and educator, Paul Reas, course leader of the documentary photography course at the University of South Wales in England. Titled after the badges worn by supermarket staff, the book is a series of color photographs about the post-industrial consumer boom in Britain. His sarcasm and keen observation come into play from everyday moments in supermarkets. Like photographer Martin Parr, who has also explored the patterns of middle-class life, Reas is known for his anti-humanist activities that have influenced British documentary practice.
