Andrey Tarkovsky is a representative Russian (former Soviet) film director who has worked on films such as "Stalker" and "Sacrifice". His son Andrey A. Tarkvosky (Jr.) provided him with Polaroid photos he took between filming, including some unpublished ones. These photos were exhibited at the White Space Gallery in London in 2007. This book is the catalog produced for that exhibition. His aesthetic sense that evokes the worldview of his films is still alive and well in the photos. The Polaroids were edited by Stephen Gill, a cutting-edge British photographer. There are 3,000 copies of the English version and 2,000 copies of the Russian version, but it is understandable that the English version is more popular, as it contains an essay by Tarkovsky himself, a poem by his father and poet Areseniy Tarkovsky, an introduction by his son, and an interview with Boris Groys, a critic who is knowledgeable about Soviet contemporary art.
