This is a collection of photographs by Jacques-Henri Lartigue (1894-1986), France's most enduring amateur photographer. When Lartigue was 17 years old, he encountered the color photography technique "Autochrome" invented by the Lumière brothers, and continued to take photographs for 15 years. This book contains 32 photographs in total. The unique grain and colors are fantastical, and at the same time, the work succeeds in capturing a rare glimpse of everyday life (of the upper class) in the early days of color photography.
