Sumaksu is one of the villages of the Atayal tribe (Tayal tribe), an indigenous tribe of Taiwan. The discovery of a sacred tree in recent years has attracted attention, making it a popular spot that many people visit. This book is a collection of photographs taken by Taiwanese photographer Chang Chin-jih over a period of three years of this place, which is called the last unexplored region of Taiwan. The photographs capture the process of Chang Chin-jih gradually falling in love with the land and the people while living a life that can never be said to be easy with them. Signed.
