This is the catalogue for the "Shaker Design" exhibition held at the Sezon Museum of Art in 1992, which collected the historical heritage of the Shakers. Hiroshi Fujikado participated as guest curator. This is the first such project in 22 years since Shaker furniture was exhibited in a corner of the American Pavilion at the Osaka Expo in 1970. The catalogue features many designs left behind by the Shakers, who sought a pure and stoic yet rational and harmonious lifestyle, including bedrooms, furniture and woodwork.
