A photo book by Jerry Spagnoli, a photographer from New York, USA, and an avid daguerreotype practitioner. This book is the second in a trilogy that depicts personal experiences in history. The filming period was from 1990 to 1995, which included the period of the Gulf War. Spagnoli uses a small Leica camera to shoot in classic street photography techniques, then selects details from the negatives and composes them into collages. As a result, images of gestures, signs, faces, and objects are freed from their original context and are laid out to engage the viewer's creative impulses. He says that he created this book as a practical metaphor for the process of excavating inner stories from the fragments scattered around us in a chaotic world order.
