"It would be interesting to have the Hinomaru flag and express the person himself, the Japanese, and the country of Japan." Mao Ishikawa, an Okinawan photographer who started with this idea that came to mind, took a picture of Japanese people for the first time. From 1993 to 1999, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, 100 groups of people with different ages, jobs, and ideological beliefs were photographed and published in a magazine. In 2007, a photobook publishing project was launched, and we asked Okinawans living in London and Paris, as well as Koreans, Chinese, and Taiwanese to take pictures, and added them. Only China did not realize due to circumstances. From 2007 to 2011, 84 sets were taken, and a total of 184 sets were taken. This book contains 100 of them.
