Yoshihiko Ueda visited two forests named by American Indians, then flowed to Yakushima, and finally reached Varanasi, the mouth of the Ganges River in India. Millions of people from all over the country visit the Ganges River every year to bathe in this unique and special river for Hindus. The photographer took a large-format camera that was out of place at the time, and once he decided on his position, he did not change it. He spent half a day there photographing whatever entered the photograph. Most of the photographs in this book are out-of-focus, impressionistic images, but it is strange that they seem to capture the local atmosphere and atmosphere better. Photographers such as Shinya Fujiwara and Hiroo Kikai (1945-2020) were also fascinated by this place, and Yoshihiko Ueda also seemed unable to resist its attraction.
