Since being forced out of his homeland during the Prague Spring in 1968, Josef Koudelka has been creating works based on the theme of wandering people while drifting through Europe. This book is his masterpiece "Exiles". A record of his travels after leaving Czechoslovakia and wandering around various countries as an exile. By the way, he never stayed in the same country for more than three months at the time. This was created in conjunction with the Koudelka exhibition held at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France in 1988. Also included are discussions by Robert Delpire, Alain Finkielkraut, and Daniele Sallenave.
