For more than a decade, German photographer Olaf Otto Becker has been exploring the North Pole and the Far North with a large camera in search of pristine landscapes. Becker's photographs achieve the most sublime effect that photography is capable of, documenting landscapes unscathed by human habitation, but greatly affected as a result. This book contains the landscapes of Iceland that the photographer has spent a long time photographing. It is sometimes published in a layout that juxtaposes recent photos taken in the 2010s with previously published photos from the 2000s. The difference of about 10 years may not be noticeable to some people, but from the perspective of the natural environment, it may be a big change. In any case, you don't have to think too hard about this book; you can enjoy it just by appreciating the natural beauty of Scandinavia expressed through large-sized photographs.
