A collection of works by French novelist and typographer Jerome Peignault. His grandfather was the founder of the French font company Deberny & Peignot, and his father Charles collaborated with Balzac to introduce phototypesetting techniques to France and create the art magazine Arts et Metiers Graphiques, which specialized in graphic arts and photography. His family is known as a family of typographers and type creators, including the director of ``AMG''. This book develops a genre of poetry known as visual poetry, concrete poetry, or simply ``typoesie'' and is divided into five parts: typography, visual poetry, illustration, painting, and music. Incidentally, this book was the last to be printed and published in traditional typesetting by France's Imprimerie National, which closed in the 2000s.
