This book is the Japanese edition of the book "A World History of Photography" by American photograph historian Naomi Rosenblum. The first edition was published in 1984 and received high acclaim as an epoch-making masterpiece that comprehensively described the history of photography from the 19th century to the present day. The second edition was published in 1989, and the third edition was published in 1997. This book has been completely revised, and the third edition, which has increased the number of photo plates, is the base.
