When I was walking in a village or town where the breakwaters and houses were washed away by the tsunami and I lost everything, there was a trace on the ground that there was a road here, and visitors walked on the trace and stepped on it. It was solidified and became a road again. There seemed to be life on that road. I have taken a lot of pictures of the roads that various people have walked and trampled over a long period of time. I felt that such a road and the road I'm looking at in the disaster area now overlap, and also the heavy road of our family as a withdrawal from Japan's defeat from Anshan, China, where I was born.
